Highlights of an evaluation completed after the conclusion of the first Community Health Worker Training Course in December at Idaho State University showed a nearly two point* jump from the beginning of the course to the end in:
- Participants feeling they could perform basic community needs assessments.
- Their awareness of resources within the community that eliminate barriers to health care and encourage healthy lifestyles.
- Their preparedness to discuss the different screenings for cancer patients.
- Their awareness of resources within Idaho to treat those experiencing poor mental health.
